Editorial Policy
Aquilario is committed to publishing content that is safety-forward, politics-light, and practical. This page explains how we choose what to publish, how we source and review material, and how we handle updates or errors.
Mission & approach
Our goal is to give readers the eagle’s-eye view on freedom, preparedness, and self-reliance. That means content that is:
- Clear and actionable — steps you can follow this weekend.
- Grounded in safety and legality — firearms and preparedness topics always stress training and compliance.
- Balanced — practical guidance without hype, politics, or fear-mongering.
How we choose sources
- We prioritize primary sources, field-tested methods, and expert input.
- When curating external news (via RSS), we select feeds known for relevant, credible coverage. Tiles include the original publisher for transparency.
- Affiliate links or advertiser relationships do not influence what we choose to cover.
Accuracy, updates & corrections
- We fact-check guides before publishing. If we cite external material, we provide links where possible.
- Minor edits (spelling, clarity) are made silently. Substantive updates are timestamped and noted at the top or bottom of the article.
- If we publish an error, we correct it promptly and transparently.
Advertising & sponsorships
Ads (if present) are clearly labeled and separated from editorial content. Sponsored links are marked with rel="sponsored"
or nofollow
. Editorial independence is non-negotiable: advertisers do not control or approve our coverage.
Affiliates & product recommendations
Some gear guides contain affiliate links. These help fund the site at no additional cost to you. We only link to items we believe are safe, useful, and relevant. Affiliates never guarantee placement or a favorable verdict.
Reader input
We welcome tips, corrections, or feedback. Email hello@aquilario.com — we review all messages.
Editorial integrity is the backbone of trust. We commit to continuous transparency and welcome accountability from our readers.
